Have you ever signed up with a coach only to find you weren’t the right fit?
You didn’t gel and she couldn’t help you in the specific areas in which you were lacking?
I have! Don’t get me wrong I’ve worked with a few coaches in my time but this one sticks in my mind because of the amount. It was huge for me! A sum I couldn’t afford to lose. But I did!
It was a while back and I thought this coach would transform my business. I thought that working with her would solve all my up-leveling issues. I thought she was going to block all the holes in my 6-figure education.
But it didn’t work out that way.
We just weren’t the right fit and as a result we parted company and I got burnt $18k.
And now when I talk with potential clients, I hear a similar story. They got burnt by an inexperienced coach, or a coach that never turned up for their meetings or delivered any coaching of value. And they bring up this story in our conversation.
The big question however, is are you going to let that bad experience rob you of the opportunities that are out there. Are you going to stop educating yourself and growing your business? Are you going to dwell on this unfortunate incident for the rest of your life?
Take it as a lesson.
I did.
And what I’ve learnt from this episode is huge. I understand the importance of value. I know how to ensure both parties are a match. I always learn about the other party’s needs to ensure that I can more than meet their requirements.
And now before I’ll sign up with a coach myself, I get to know them inside out and make sure that what they’ve achieved in their own business is exactly what I’m looking for.
And guess what?
I now have a coach who is perfect for me. His level of integrity is massive. His teachings is off the wall and he’s on his way to generating $1m per month and everything he teaches is state of the art, new, self-taught material that works.
Had I allowed that one mistake I made with the previous coach stop me, then I would never have moved on and been so successful in my business today.
Yes, we all make mistakes and we need to take it as an opportunity to learn.
But for Christ’s sake don’t let that hold you back from moving forward and creating the business of your dreams, earning the income that you want and transforming your life for the better. Go find yourself another coach because life is too short and you’re just wasting time.
